The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling

Colonial India under the rule of the British crown during the period of its greatest power. Everywhere a white Englishmen who were put on this earth as home. The local population lives in poverty and controlled by the British militaries. But continues to practice their religious beliefs and retains its identity. But “The Jungle Book” is a story about the colonizers and the natives, it’s about India, which is hidden deep in the impenetrable tropical forests, in gardens inhabited by any animals in the steppes surrounding the military camps.

In the forests, as tells Kipling that’s nothing to the will of the British Empire, because there reigns the law of the jungle. Live there are endowed with reason and speech, the animals are both similar and not similar to people. On the one hand, we know that the writers through the images of talking animals transmit human qualities. With the other – inhabitants of the jungle, by Kipling, significantly different from the people. This is especially clear in comparison with Mowgli, who, despite his childhood in a wolf pack, has all more human traits.
